Dai-Ichi Saipan Hotel Kids Club - Saipan RIM Architects was contracted by the Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan to create a “Kids Club”, with a tropical cast-away theme. The small site includes a 1,500 SF clubhouse, a 2-story tree house, an interactive aqua play sculpture set in a wading pool as well as a playground. The rooftop of the clubhouse is covered by a canopy and is used as a game area and an observation deck for evening island cultural shows, which takes place below. The roof deck and tree houses are connected by a bridge, and the playground is accessible from both slides. The clubhouse itself houses an arts and crafts area, restroom changing rooms, and snack and video lounge. The color scheme is playful and very kid friendly. The project’s scope of work includes architectural, interior design and procurement assistance.
