Replace Housing Units at Old Apra, Phase II
Naval Base, Guam

This $44 Million design/build project provides for the demolition of 72 existing housing units and the construction of 59 housing units consisting of 3-bedroom duplexes, 3-bedroom single family, and 4-bedroom single family units. Units will include a single garage for enlisted and dual garages for officers, driveways, covered patios, privacy fencing, exterior storage and trash bin enclosures. Special construction criteria includes provisions for withstanding typhoon wind speed of 170 mph and Exposure D and seismic loading.

Each unit type has a slightly modified plan to meet the requirements of American with Disabilities Act and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The project will upgrade the existing storm water system, and the construction of new water, sanitary sewer, site electrical and communication systems.

The units will be designed and constructed to comply with Energy Star Standards and to earn the Energy Star label.
